SHIPPING & REFUNDS
SHIPPING POLICY
The staff at Ve'Sugar takes tremendous pride when shipping our products to you. Every order is handled with extreme care so that it arrives in perfect condition. Each cake is wrapped appropriately and then gently placed in one of our signature packages. We ship all of our cakes/desserts based on the type to ensure that they arrive flawlessly on your doorstep. Once received, please put your cake/dessert into the freezer or appropriate storage based on the dessert/cake type immediately to keep it at its peak flavor and quality. We don't recommend storage in refrigerators as they have a tendency to dry the cake out unless it's all that is available to store. How you store your dessert/cake is at the discretion and expense of the customer. We can provide suggestions, however we are not responsible once you receive our cake/dessert with the recipients decisions.
**Due to the perishable nature of our cakes/desserts, they are shipped nationwide within the best timeframes Ve'Sugar deems needed from the carrier Ve'Sugar feels best suited to deliver.
General:

All perishable and nonperishable items are shipped via Ve'Sugars preffered shipping method.
Shipping charges are based on total shipping weight and destination zip code.
Shipments are only made within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
Refunds cannot be given for shipments once it leaves our facility for the following reasons:
An incorrect or incomplete shipping address.
Delays caused during Major Holidays.
Weather related delivery issues.
Problems beyond our control.
Cakes/desserts which have become unusable due to failure to follow instructions marked on the packaging by the recipient or deliverer.
We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, APO or FPO addresses. Shipping addresses with a PO Box will cause a delay until we can obtain a correct shipping address.
All packages shipped via most methods similar to UPS are designated with a “shippers release” so that a signature is not required for delivery. However, it is up to the discretion of the UPS delivery person whether to leave the package or not. Thus, we highly recommend that someone be available to accept the shipment, particularly if the shipping location is an apartment complex or office building.
We cannot be held responsible for packages left at an address when someone is out-of-town. Please make sure the recipient will be home before submitting an order.
Be sure to inspect your package upon arrival.

You may call us Monday- Friday between the hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm EST if you require assistance placing an order.
Do you need more than 3 cakes sent to one address? Please call us. We can ship larger orders, and may be able to save you on shipping charges.
Perishable Items:

The perishable nature of our cakes/desserts, they are shipped nationwide.
All perishable orders are shipped Monday - Tuesday to arrive within three days or Monday - Wednesday to arrive within two days. Exceptions to this policy is at the discretion of Ve'Sugars Owner based on the order type.
Overnight shipments are available Monday - Thursday for an additional charge. We cannot ship overnight to Alaska or Hawaii.
For 3-day shipping, orders placed by 3 pm EST Monday and Tuesday will be shipped the same day if possible. For 2-day shipping, orders placed by 3 pm EST Monday - Wednesday will be shipped the same day when possible. Orders placed by 3pm Thursdays that will deliver in our one day ship area will ship that day when possible. We cannot guarantee on time shipments from Dec 10th - Dec 24th.
Orders placed after 3 pm Tuesday for 3 Day Shipping, after 3 pm Wednesday for 2 Day Shipping, or after 3pm on Thursday for 1 day will be shipped the following regular shipping day (usually Monday unless this is a major Holiday and UPS is closed).
We cannot guarantee arrival times on the day of arrival! UPS has up until 10pm to deliver packages. Most residential packages are delivered by 7:00 pm, and business packages by 5:00 pm. Businesses in homes are considered residential. If you require A.M. Delivery, please call us to place your order. Higher service charges will apply. If we ship using any carrier outside of UPS different business rules may apply.
All of our cakes/desserts are shipped with Ve'Sugar methods to maintain freshness.
We cannot send out shipments on the following days: Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day as UPS and other shippers are either closed or not picking up packages. Packages will not be delivered on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Eve (ground only), and New Years Day.

Non-Perishable Items:
​
Non-perishable items can ship Monday – Friday via UPS Ground unless rush delivery is required. Please call with any questions. Any order combining perishable and nonperishable items will be classified as a perishable shipment.

Saturday Deliveries:
​
Saturday delivery is available in specific areas for an additional charge. Due to UPS guidelines, Ve'Sugar cannot guarantee that all areas are available for Saturday deliveries. You must call in advance for Saturday delivery.

Weekends:
​
We do not typically ship out packages that will be in transit over the weekend due to the fact that UPS does not move packages after noon on Saturday or on Sunday. Ve'Sugar may, at its discretion, ship packages to move over the weekend. This typically occurs during major holidays or when adverse weather conditions at our facility may hamper operations. Ve'Sugar does not ship any packages that move over the weekend between April 15th and Oct 15th.

Sundays and Mondays:
​
Sunday arrival is not possible as UPS and most shippers are closed on Sundays. If you require Monday arrival, you must call to discuss in advance. Monday arrival may incur additional Next Day Air fees, and is not always available. Monday arrival is not possible between April 15th and October 15th. We cannot guarantee Monday arrivals.
Problems:

Sometimes things happen, and we hope to make your experience positive. Should we cause a problem with your order, we will make it right at Ve'Sugar discretion. We will do everything we can, for problems caused by us. We are all human and make mistakes. If you made a mistake and provided an incomplete or incorrect address during your order process, please call us right away. We can always fix labels within a suitable timeframe before the day of shipment. Once they leave our facility, it is harder to fix problems and additional charges may apply. Should a mistake like this occur we cannot refund the original shipping costs, and you must pay for the new shipping charges. Everyone's tastes are different, and while it is rare, sometimes the cake just wasn't what you were expecting. We do apologize, but cannot replace cakes or issue refunds due to cakes received which are not liked due to taste or appearance. Due to FDA regulations with regards to food items, we cannot accept returns or exchanges of cakes once they have left our facility.

Winter Holidays -
Place Your Cake Orders For the Holiday Season At Any Time of the Year!

Due to the overwhelming amount of orders placed in December, we suggest ordering your holiday cakes as early as possible. In fact, you may place an order any time throughout the year for December delivery! Due to the large amount of packages being delivered during the holidays, UPS and other shippers cannot guarantee on time delivery for UPS ground shipments from December 12th-December 24th. However, UPS can guarantee on-time deliveries for all 1 and 2 day air shipments during this time. The shippers policies however may not match our own policy and we cannot confirm the shippers policies or changes to thier policies
REFUND POLICY
We take pride in all our products. If you are unhappy with your order and/or purchase when picking up or within 24 hours of pick-up, working days, immediately notify us of your concern and return your complete order to us.

No refunds.

Ve'Sugar is not responsible for orders once they leave our premises. We are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cake or dessert during transport, set-up or any time thereafter. You will be given instructions on how to carry, transport, and store your cake or dessert upon pick up. If you do not receive these instructions, please ask our associate. Keep in mind that cakes and desserts are very fragile and damages can happen if not handled properly, such as cracks, smudges, melted frosting, etc.

Full refunds requested after the cake has been accepted and picked up will not be honored. Any exceptions to this policy is at the descretion of the Ve'Sugar Owner if the product is brought back and the quality of the cake or dessert is determined to not meet our standards. Cakes or desserts must be brought back to us within a timely manner, preferably with 24 hours of pick up - please call us promptly to let us know of the issue. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Ve'Sugar. Please understand that we cannot issue refunds for cakes or desserts that have already been eaten or bitten from.

Special orders that are not picked up will NOT be refunded.

The following scenario is the only instance when we may provide a partial refund:

If you come to our store for pick up or if upon delivery the cake does not meet your expectations (i.e. designer error), we will give you a refund (minus 25% handling/cancellation fee). This refund will be given as a store credit (no cash/money refunds will be given). NOTE: If we give you a refund, you CANNOT keep the cake/dessert. You can only get the partial refund that Ve'Sugar owner agrees to if you refuse to “accept” the cake/dessert. We will NOT negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake/dessert. This is a “take it, or leave it” policy. We are not responsible for any expense you may incur for replacing our cake.
***We do not give refunds under any other circumstances.
It is entirely up to Ve'Sugar's discretion to change or otherwise offer any other options to the customer.
